Buy A Tonometer Through FitEyes.com

For those of you who have been thinking about joining our self-tonometry program and purchasing a tonometer, I want to let you know that we can help you purchase your tonometer.

However, I would like to take this opportunity to clarify our policy on selling tonometers. We are not a typical equipment dealer. My main business is not selling tonometers -- it is using tonometers, conducting research with tonometers, educating people about tonometers and furthering a specific set of research-oriented goals. We are interested in advancing the body of scientific knowledge related to self-tonometry.

We benefit in terms of that goal by having a larger group of people participating in our research project. It is a win-win situation. The people who participate with us in self-tonometry research get to explore all the benefits of better IOP management that I have experienced myself (and that I have discussed extensively on this blog). And as a result of having more people in our program, our body of knowledge increases. We can then share that knowledge with the entire glaucoma community -- patients, physicians and researchers.

Hopefully, that statement makes it clear that our primary interest is not in selling tonometers. We do have special pricing on tonometers that, as far as I know, is not available anywhere else. But again, we have zero interest in simply selling a large volume of tonometers. And we only sell the tonometer models that we ourselves have proven are suitable for self-tonometry. There are very few tonometers well-suited to this purpose. And of those that are suitable, we offer only top quality factory refurbished models or brand new models. We do not deal with ordinary used equipment. We do not sell any products to physicians or hospitals. We only sell tonometers to people who participate in our self-tonometry research program with the approval of their doctor.

We warmly invite you to participate -- and I will be happy to discuss the details with you. The requirements are fairly easy to meet, but you do have to be interested in helping us advance the body of scientific knowledge related to self-tonometry.

We are also confident that once you experience the benefits of home tonometry, you will want to continue doing it. This is not a short term thing in my experience. I derive a lot of comfort from self-tonometry and so do the other people I communicate with. For many reasons, it makes sense for you to own your own tonometer and to use it for the long term.

In my opinion, a research program where you performed a limited amount of self-tonometry for a few weeks would be of benefit to science -- but it would be of much less benefit to you individually. After years and years of experiments like that, science will start forming a consensus and will be able to make recommendations. But a program like ours where you embark on a deeper experience of learning is the best program for people like me who want to do all they can to begin managing their intraocular pressure now. The other type of science is an essential part of advancing our general knowledge, but the FitEyes.com program is more focused on empowering the individual. A critical part of that empowerment comes from being able to perform self-tonometry over an extended period of time in the comfort of your own home -- this process has to be integrated with your daily life. Once you can do self-tonometry as part of your daily life, the knowledge you gain from it has the chance to transform you. That process of transformation is what it takes to successfully manage your eye pressure.

When you purchase a tonometer through us and participate in our program, I offer one hour of telephone consultation at no extra charge. The primary benefit of working with us is knowledge. Probably no other organization in the world has our level of collective experience in self-tonometry and we would love to share this experience with you. If this interests you, please contact me and I will give you more details. Also, take a look at this blog post:
