The FitEyes Email Discussion Lists Are Here
FitEyes has two email lists:
- announcements
- discussions
The following table shows you how to join or leave either list.
| Instructions | ||||
| List Name | Description | Volume of Emails | Join | Leave |
| Announcements | New content notifications. | Low traffic. | send an email to: fiteyes-announce-join@lists.sourceforge.net | send an email to: fiteyes-announce-leave@lists.sourceforge.net |
| Discussions | Ask Dr. Robert Ritch. Have informal discussions with other FitEyes member. | Moderate to high traffic. | send an email to fiteyes+subscribe@googlegroups.com You will receive a confirmation email. Just reply to it. That's it! | send an email to: fiteyes+unsubscribe@googlegroups.com |
To leave both lists there are two steps:
1. To unsubscribe from the discussions list, just send an email to:
fiteyes+unsubscribe@
2. To unsubscribe from the announcements only list just send an email to:
fiteyes-announce-leave@lists.
How to discuss topics with Dr. Robert Ritch or other FitEyes members:
To join the discussion list send an email to fiteyes+subscribe@
You will receive a confirmation email. All you need to do is reply to it. That's it!
Then you will be able to send messages to the list. Simply send your emails to fiteyes@googlegroups.com - that's how you participate in a discussion.
UPDATE: We need a moderator for this list. I'm looking for volunteers. For informal email discussions, the groups (discussion lists) will enhance our ability to quickly communicate with each other. Of course, the FitEyes.com website will still be 100% available and will continue to be the primary source of detailed information about our eye pressure research.
With moderation, these lists will contain FitEyes messages only. They will be free of spam. And you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.
I will continue to post on the FitEyes.com blog and I encourage members to utilize the blogs and forums as much as possible. The mailing lists are simply optional new tools. The groups do not replace any of the features we currrently offer on the website. This is a new feature to enable quick and easy communication using email. These groups may not even be our permanent solution. They are simply something we are trying now.
