The FitEyes Email Discussion Lists Are Here
FitEyes has two email lists:
- announcements
- discussions
The announcements list notifies you when new topics are posted on FitEyes.com. This list averages less than one email a day.
The discussions list is higher traffic. This list allows members to communicate directly with each other or ask questions of Dr. Ritch.
The following table shows you how to join or leave either list.

Our recommendation is for everyone to stay subscribed to announcements. This list averages less than one email per day.
The discussion list, on the other hand, is mainly those people wishing to participate in discussions with other members or Dr. Ritch, and this list is higher traffic. If you are getting too many email from FitEyes, we recommend one of the following two options:
- Choice one: change your preferences on the discussion list to reduce the number of emails you receive. To do this, visit the discussion group page at http://groups.google.com/group/fiteyes?hl=en
- Choice two: unsubscribe from the discussion list -- just send an email to: fiteyes+unsubscribe@
googlegroups.com
How to discuss topics with Dr. Robert Ritch or other FitEyes members:
When you register at FitEyes.com, you will become a member of the discussions list (as well as the announcements list). It is automatic and you do not need to do anything.
To start a discussion or ask a question, simply send your emails to fiteyes@googlegroups.com. It is as simple as that.
If you removed your email from the discussion list previously, or your name was never added, you can join at any time. To join the discussion list send an email to fiteyes+subscribe@
You will receive a confirmation email. All you need to do is reply to it. That's it!
Then you will be able to send messages to the list just like everyone else.
With moderation, these lists will contain FitEyes messages only. They will be free of spam. And you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.
Of course, the FitEyes.com website will still be 100% available and will continue to be the primary source of detailed information about our eye pressure research.
I will continue to post on the FitEyes.com blog and I encourage members to utilize the blogs and forums as much as possible. The mailing lists are simply optional new tools. The groups do not replace any of the features we currrently offer on the website. This is a new feature to enable quick and easy communication using email.
