I am Dr. Edward Kondrot, a board certified ophthalmologist and certified homeopathic doctor. I have spent the last 20 years investigating alternative therapies to help people who are loosing their vision. My philosophy on healing is based on homeopathic principles- treat the person and the disease will get better. I enjoy working with my patients to improve their eyesight and clarity of vision. This forum is for everyone interested in homeopathic ophthalmology. I hope you will join me and my patients here.

My patients will use this forum to discuss anything and everything related to their eye health or my treatment programs. I and my staff will try to jump in and reply to selected questions when we can. But mostly this is a patients's forum and support group where patients can share their experiences. It is for everyone interested in the type of alternative ophthalmology I practice.

I look forward to answering all of your questions regarding alternative eye care. I have just returned from teaching a seminar and holding a 3 day treatment program in Pittsburgh, PA  for patients who are losing vision. (July 14- 20, 2007) The most dramatic case was a lady with end stage glaucoma- multiple surgical procedures who was blind in the right eye and bare light perception in the left. After 3 days of microcurrent and color therapy she was able to see faces! She was so excited to see my colleague Dr. Anne Marie Fine. "Dr. Fine I see your face! You have beautiful blond hair!"  What is the mechanism of this visual recovery? Clearly this is the effects of microcurrent and color therapy improving blood flow and stimulating the optic nerve.  Yes I agree with the skeptics that there are no published studies in the eye literature but there are plenty of peer review articles that prove microcurrent improves blood flow and stimulates cellular activity.

Thank you. For 20+ years when I was first diagnosed with glaucoma, I have been mostly calm and trusting in my belief that someday I'd meet a doctor like you who dares to think like a true physician, who researches, invents, cares so much about the root cause of eye disease and whose  approach to eye health is from a holistic position.  Too often MD's are "stuck" in pharmaceuticals, surgery, traditional teachings and have never bothered to seek an alternative approach.  I was,  interestingly,  diagnosed with "glaucoma", preceded by astigmatism, myopia, and the wearing of corrective lenses for most of my life.   I have not been convinced of the use of synthetic chemicals, especially my eyes, despite the scare warnings from "the doctors who write the books on glaucoma" .    My eyes have improved so much in the past few years that I have to keep getting weaker lenses, which is costly, but which makes me smile a lot.   I see better now than I have in my whole life.   It is one of those stories of the power of Nature, of intuition, and of Belief.  Homeopathy plays a great part in my health/life and in my studies of alternative medicine.

I would like to know how to disolve a cataract. My husband has one in his left eye.  We are strict vegitarian ( do not eat much dairy either.), and are following the food combining in the Fit For Life books by Harvey Diamond. 

The cataract is about 4 years old, and seems to have improved by following this food combining, but we need to know about some homeopathics / herbs that can hasten the results.

I found a webiste that has eyedrops called "Ethos Endemion". I thnik that is how you spell it. ( It was a while ago. Do you know about it, and is it safe to take)?

Aslo, I have a friend with Macular Degeneration: Will you be having any 3 day events near or in the Virginia area in the future?

The reason you typically do not want to put your email address directly in a message you post, as was done above, it that spammers can get your email address this way. Once a spammer gets your address, the spam seems to start coming from everywhere.

In Mrs. Steinbach's case, she can join the site (when registering, her email address will remain private). She can create a new message without her email address. She will be notified when someone replies. As the admin, I can delete the original message with her email address so spammers don't get it.

Of course, you don't have to do it this way. If it is easier to just include an email address in your messages, you are welcome to do that also.

Gail, so far I only know of two Homeopathic Ophthalmologists. Dr. Kondrot is the only one I know of in North America. Dr. Kondrot wasn't even aware of the other Homeopathic Ophthalmologists in South America until I introduced them to each other. (So, I think it is safe to say that he doesn't know of one in Toronto.) We may yet find some others, but right now I don't have anything else to tell you.
