    Advise Recently diagnosed with glaucoma

    Dear Friends

I am just recently diagnosed with glaucoma in both my eyes.

Let me give some background. I work for University in US and was
visiting India for routine family visit. Went for routine eye check
    up
for my Eye glass numbers ( I have minus numbers in both my eyes) and
found out that I have Glaucoma in my both eyes. My right eye is
    heavily
damaged by glaucoma including some part of central vision.

I was having 24-26 in both eyes. Doctor prescribed Xalatan ( at
    night)
and Timolet ( two times day) Xalatan was able to bring tension upt to
    17 in both the eyes.

After one month of using xalatan I am changed to Lumigan on my
    request
by doctor. (mainly because of cost of both in India at that time)

I am currently using Lumigen (once at night) and Timolet (twice a
    day.
I have chance to check pressure one week after startng lumigen it was
still 17 in both eyes. It has been twenty days since I measured it.

I want suggestions from senior members about

    (1) what we can do in daily life to limit further damage to eyes?
    (2) Does extensive use of computers and exposure to sunlight are
    problematic for glaucoma patients?
    (3) Does any one can Good Senior and experienced Glaucoma Doctors
around South Carolina and Atlanta area in USA
    (4) Is there any food choices or alternative medicines, vitamins,
antioxidants etc. that can help with improvement of optic nerve damage
    (5) How frequently one need to go to doctor once he is diagnosed with
    Glaucoma to check eye tensions
    (6) How frequently we need to go for perimetry or visual field test
    (7) Once you can control eye tension, does glaucoma advancement stops
    or not.

I know I have put several questions in one post. But I am really
worried about this and wanted to get quick hold on this problem,
    before
    it advances further.

Thanks for you kindness to answer my questions in details

    Paresh
