Details on Aryuveda medicine or treatments in Glaucoma

Dear Dave

Thanks for answering my question in length and depth.

Since there is no sure cure for recovering from damage of Optic nerve caused by glaucoma in our ALOPATHIC treatments, I was looking for other possible treatments in Conjuction with ALopathic for my self.

Since I am from India and know Aruyveda is one of the great and oldest path of alternative medicines. I wanted to explore that in details.

Can some of our experienced members suggest links or source of information that relates to treatment of Glaucoma in Aryveda.  That will be benificial to lot of people like me.

Several readers of FitEyes.com are in touch with Dr. Tillotson, including me. He doesn't practice pure Ayurveda, so keep that in mind. He's an herbalist, not an Ayurvedic physician. However, he has written a lot of good stuff on Ayurvedic Ophthalmology and I personally don't (yet) know of any better experts on this subject outside of India. I'll ask him if I can post more of it here. (As far as I know, a lot of what he has sent me is not published anywhere.)

I can email you several contacts for Ayurvedic physicians, but none of them are in your immediate area. You would have to travel (at least a few hours drive) to see them. Let me know if that interests you and I'll look up some contacts.

However, the best thing you can do is start with an Ayurvedic physician you can see in person. This way you can get a pulse diagnosis. Without that, you will be missing much of the benefit Ayurveda can offer.
