How to be notified of new forum messages automatically

 In the image below, note the link on the right for “forum subscriptions” in the “Shortcuts” area:

 

You will see this "Shortcuts" area on the right side of the page when you viewing the top level (or main page) of any forum on FitEyes.com. For example, you are now viewing a message titled "How to be notified of new forum messages automatically" in the "Help" Forum. And the Help forum is in the General Forums group on FitEyes.com. You can see all this in the upper part of the page. This is called a breadcrumb because it is a trail telling you how where you are in the forums. If you go up one level to the main page of the "Help" forum (this forum), you will see the Shortcuts area pictured above. You can click any item in the breadcrumb control shown below to go right to that page on FitEyes.com.

From the main page of the forum, click the “forum subscriptions” link in the "Shortcuts" area. You'll see a list of the forums you can subscribe to. It should look similar to this image:

Check the box to subscribe. After you check the box, click the save button.

After subscribing, you will receive an email notification every time there is a new post in the forums you checked.. That way you can stay updated automatically. (You can always unsubscribe if you need to – just follow the same steps as above and uncheck the box.)

By the way, you can also subscribe to blogs if you want to be notified when new messages are posted on a blog here at FitEyes.com. I'll write another help message on that topic.
 

Make sure you don't have email notification disabled in your profile. To check this, click on your name at the top of the page - this will take you to your profile settings. Click the "email" tab. Look for the following option:

Enable Email Notifications of forum/thread subscriptions and replies to my posts.

Make sure it is set to "Yes."
