This audio file contains an interesting interview with Dr. Ivan Goldberg (University of Sydney). Dr. Ritch recommends that we all listen to it.
Members of the FitEyes self-tonometry group should be regularly utilizing the water drinking test. See this message:

I like Dr. Goldberg's approach to the water drinking test (10 ml of water per kg of body weight).
Other Comments about the interview:
Some of these unanswered questions could be answered by frequent self-tonometry as done by the FitEyes group.
Short term intraocular pressure fluctuations can also be caused by emotions and stress.
It is not necessary to wait years and decades for answers until new technology comes along. The method of self-tonometry FitEyes pursues is designed expressly to answer some of these questions using today's available technology.
FitEyes has a new (experimental) method for recording and evaluating very short term intraocular pressure fluctuations. Information on this method has not been published yet. The test requires only about a minute.
We agree that more data is always better. The suggestion of recording intraocular pressure three or four times a day is too low, in my experience. People in the FitEyes group often measure IOP a dozen times a day. It is also very valuable to record intraocular pressure at night. I record my own IOP every morning upon awakening while still lying in bed.
