Question from a FitEyes member: Great site, but I am legally blind and use zoom text to navigate the net and it does not work on your site. Can you do anything about this? Thanks.
FitEyes’ answer: Many times in the past we received questions like the one above and many times our members voiced the need to make the website more user-friendly to people with vision problems, so that we felt almost compelled and yet extremely excited to start a FitEyes’ total makeover process. We are happy to inform all our members that at the moment FitEyes.com is at full-speed transition stage to a newer, better website that will offer many more useful and helpful features to make your experience of the FitEyes community more pleasurable.
The new developments are very thrilling indeed. We are planning to add features like zoom text for all of the content, text-to-speech capability for blogs and discussions, and improved fonts contrast, among many others. We will introduce a personalized individual member area for each of you so you have better control over the content and the manner it is delivered to you. This will integrate and simplify your participation on FitEyes.com and the email discussion board. Navigating the website will become a much more enjoyable and intuitive experience. We have so many more exciting innovations in store for you, but let us keep some of them secret and surprise you when the time comes!
The new FitEyes believes that a stone is worthless if it is not part of an edifice. All of us -- the active and contributing FitEyes members, along with our personal experiences -- are the stones, and a bright and better world is our edifice. It is in every individual's story/experience that we can find inspiration. It is in the new FitEyes website that we can seek inspirational answers to our questions, making the latest innovation and each individual's experience the cornerstones as we live our lives with glaucoma.
We thank everyone for making FitEyes a community of inspiration and a community we can truly call our own. We hope the coming website changes continue to inspire everyone to share whatever we have learned to the rest of the people unaware/uninformed about glaucoma as a condition we ourselves have considered a battle we've already won.
As this progressive change is being introduced to the website, we encourage you to keep checking back with us for a new, revamped FitEyes.com. We would deeply appreciate any feedback and constructive criticism from you and would be glad to have every single one of you as an active and contributing FitEyes member. Please feel free to send your suggestions and feedback to us via http://fiteyes.com/contact (or reply to this email via the discussion list).
