Happy Valentine's Day!
What does love have to do with glaucoma and eye pressure? Everything, if you ask me.
And there is also something about playing with my dog that has a consistently positive effect on my eye pressure. As of today, Valentine's Day 2007, I have recorded 17,924 eye pressure measurements over 217 days in my eye pressure case history/research project. That large amount of data allows me to perform robust statistical analysis, and that analysis shows that playing with my dog really does lower my eye pressure dramatically.
Could this wonderful eye pressure-lowering effect be related to the open heart and unconditional love a dog shows for its owner? Since it's Valentine's day today, I'll explore this possibility by suggesting you watch a short video clip about love and dogs.
James Jacobson produced a short online film entitled "Do You Remember Love." It debuts today, 14 years to the day after he brought home his beloved dog, Maui.
See the short film now at:
James Jacobson calls it his "pet project."
He says, "it should make your heart smile and help give us all more resolve to address ... [the] big issues that affect our planet." I add that it should also help us deal more effectively with glaucoma and any other health issues we may face.
Have a happy Valentine's Day!
