Normal tension glaucoma - what causes it?

I have been diagnosed with normal tension glaucoma, after losing some sight, with pressures of 21. I use drops to try to reduce pressure. I sometimes wonder though if something else caused me to lose sight other than eye pressure. Is this possible?
