Help with FitEyes.com

I have just learned that FitEyes.com has exceeded our email sending limit. Our ability to send emails has been suspended for at least 24 hours.

I will have to make a decision about either upgrading our email services (at additional cost) or limiting the emails that we send out. In the mean time, I apologize for this inconvenience.

If you wish to contribute so that the site has unlimited ability to keep you informed of the recent updates, please use PayPal to send donations to donations@fiteyes.com. Thank you.

If the email we send to your email address is returned with a failure message (e.g., Delivery Status Notification Failure or similar), our administrator(s) will block your account from logging in to FitEyes.com. There are other similar reasons we sometimes block accounts. We do all of this to keep spammer from having access to FitEyes.com. As you may notice, FitEyes.com is 100% free of spam and we hope to keep it that way.

If this happens to you by mistake and you would like your account unblocked, simply contact us and we will remove the block.

I think the following list represents some of the most informative and useful articles on FitEyes.com. There are thousands of articles on FitEyes.com, so many good ones will not be on this list. But this list is a good place to start reading if you are new to FitEyes.com. If you are not new to our site, please make sure you have seen these articles.

The way we plan to implement it, registered users would not have to do anything in order to be notified of all new content. We recognize that this is a slightly non-standard approach. However, in the past, users have found it to be a lot of trouble to subscribe to each different blog or each different forum topic in order to be notified of all new content. Furthermore, that approach had many limitations.

So now we are experimenting with new approaches and we look forward to your feedback.

FitEyes.com is now running on a new website platform that is open source and that offers lots of enhanced features. We have invested a very large number of hours, for several months, in this upgrade so that you, the reader, can get more from your FitEyes.com experience.

However, even with all the time we have invested, there may still be some pages of pre-existing content that are less than 100% correct after the upgrade. If you notice any missing links or other issues, please let us know.

We have not finished the conversion, so please be patient as we continue working to bring all the content from the old site over to the new site. We have a team of three people working around the clock right now to make sure you have access to all the FitEyes.com content you need. We think you will love the new site once we finish it.

Our website is running on new open source software (Drupal on the Linux operating system).

UPDATE: It is now April 2009 and FitEyes.com has once again upgraded its software platform. We moved from Community Server on Windows to Drupal running on Ubuntu Linux! That was a nice upgrade. :)

Blogs Main Page Overview

The primary function of the Blogs main page is to provide you with access to all of the blog posts that have been published in the FitEyes.com community. But FitEyes.com also allows you to manipulate how blog content displays on the main page.

For example, you have several blog sorting options:

After the website upgrade today, you may need to delete the cookies in your browser if you have any trouble logging in. You can either delete all cookies or just the cookies from FitEyes.com.

In Firefox, you can open Preferences, go to the Privacy tab, click the Show Cookies button, and select the cookies to delete or you can remove all cookies.

Internet Explorer is probably very similar, although I don't use it so I can't offer exact steps. (I run Ubuntu Linux.)

I consolidated many forums at FitEyes.com. Now most discussions are in the General Discussions Forum. This is the one place you can post any vision-related question or find answers to many existing questions. This should simplify site navigation greatly.
