I saw this article about simple breathing exercises

[EDITED] Since I cannot afford to take serene impulse training I am looking on the internet for anything that can give me more information and I saw the article below written by Kelly Black.  One question I have though is I thought that holding your breath was a no no for glaucoma.... David can you clear that up for me?

LASIK and C3R operations

Hi, I am Sneha, originally from India and now residing in the US. I was diagnosed with short-sight when I was 14 years of age. I have been wearing soft contact lenses since then. When I turned 23, I got both my eyes LASIK operated in India from a popular eye hospital. I had no problem with my eyes for almost a year. But later on I faced slight eye irritation, redness and sometimes double vision when I sit in front of the computer or when I go outdoors. I am a software engineer by profession which ineveitably requires me to work with the computer for long hours.

Ego and Intraocular Pressure in Glaucoma (was Timeline for reversing glaucoma damage?)

I've never really heard anybody give an educated guess on when we may really have the ability to reverse the damage done by glaucoma.. Whether through stem cells or any other medical advancement ... can anybody reasonably predict a timetable on being able to repair the damaged nerves?

I'm especially interested in this because - at 55, and in good health otherwise - I have pretty bad glaucoma. I lost 90% of the vision in my right eye, and maybe 50% in my left before I even noticed any problems.  I sure wish I'd been paying attention ...

Stress Negatively Changes Brain Structure, Serene Impulse Positively Changes It

Research has shown that stress can physically reshape the brain, causing both extensive and long-lasting damage to the human brain. Brain cells can shrink and the connections between neurons can decrease. In short, stress causes big changes to the human nervous system. In 2008, new knowledge regarding the effects of short-term stress were measured at University of California, Irvine, and breakthrough research on the effects of long-term, chronic stress were conducted at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Non-medical Program to Reduce Intraocular Pressure

UPDATE: At this time, a non-medical program to help people reduce their intraocular pressure through lifestyle modifications and mind-body techniques is not yet available. The knowledge exists, but before such a program can be offered outside a research setting, we need to train licensed medical professionals in how to teach this program to their patients.

I have personally researched this path to managing my intraocular pressure, and my own results have been outstanding, but at this time there is no program to train patients in the skills required to replicate my results.

New Experiments With Inverted Yoga Postures and Eye Pressure

I stopped doing all inverted yoga postures a couple years ago. The plow (plough, halasana) posture used to be one of my favorites. When I first started self-tonometry some years ago I did the plow posture for just a few minutes, then sat up and took some intraocular pressure measurements.

My Eye Pressure Scare

This story has a positive end, but I did have a stressful situation yesterday in regards to my intraocular pressure. In the early afternoon I used the Tiolat iCare tonometer to measure my intraocular pressure, as I have been doing every day for a long time. I obtained seven intraocular pressure measurements (each the average of 6 probe contacts, so this was a total of 42 individual measurements) in the range of 3mmHg to 5mmHg in my left eye. (My right eye was a bit higher, in the range of 8 mmHg.)

The low intraocular pressure reading shocked me! Obviously, this is too low!

Eye Pressure Miracle

Starting with my first true 24-hour period of intraocular pressure data collection I was shocked to see how high my eye pressure rose while I was lying in bed and sleeping at night. My eye pressure more than doubled while I was sleeping, going from around 12 to around 25 mmHg.

Continuing the Vitamin C discussion

Hi Folks,

I am still mulling over the information you posted previously on vitamin c, Dave. [EDIT: see comment below for a recap.]

I did do some experimentation before I settled on the Ester C. And it is very expensive. I tried Natural Factors C but it really didn't have any positive effect so I went back to the Ester C. Not that I am 100% convinced it is the best possible choice for me. My bewildered Hmm question is: how do you or others hit on one that works? Here is a link:
